CEDREN invite everyone interested to an open CEDREN seminar about restoration of regulated rivers.

9 to 11 May 2016 partners in the research project Restoration of the aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems complex, from Fundu Mare Island, part of the Small Wetland of Braila  are invited to a workshop in Trondheim, Norway.

Open CEDREN seminar

Part of the workshop program will be an open CEDREN seminar. Everyone interested is invited to attend the seminar.

  • Place: The seminar will be held in the NINA house, Trondheim. Please note that project partners will start the day at SINTEF Energy Research

Session 1: River restoration in Europe and Norway (with special focus on the contributions of the Norwegian project partner)

  • 10:00 – 10:20 Marie-Pierre Gosselin (IGB Berlin): Restoration strategies in European rivers – overview of approaches and experiences
  • 10:20 – 10:40 Torbjørn Forseth (NINA): River restauration in Norway – example Mandalselva
  • 10:40 – 11:00 Atle Harby (CEDREN / SINTEF Energy Research): Info about the Centre for Environmental Design of Renewable Energy (CEDREN)
  • 11:00 – 11:20 Sigrid Damman (SINTEF Technology and Society):  River restoration from a different angle: Culture and collaboration in international projects
