Workshop on green battery for Europe. Düsseldorf 15-16 Dec
Future North European power system faces multiple challenges.

Hydropower will play an important role in the realization of a ‘green’ Europe, counting both as a main source of renewable energy and also enabling the full use of other renewable technologies. The purpose of this workshop is to discuss various perspectives regarding the role and possibilities for hydropower to balance non-regulated renewable power production in Northern Europe. The focus will be on opportunities and challenges and how to reconcile economic, social, environmental and operational interests. The workshop provides a meeting and discussion arena for important stakeholders that are and will be involved in the future decision making process: power generation and grid companies, authorities and research communities.
